Key factors for implementation of total quality management in construction Sector: A system dynamics approach

Maintaining quality in construction projects is paramount to project success, achieved through techniques such as Total Quality Management (TQM). However, the key factors of TQM implementation industry developing countries are not well explored. Accordingly, this paper evaluated causative relationship and intricacies sector countries. A total 28 were captured a literature review. Thereafter, 12 significant shortlisted. Lack top management commitment, poor customer/client satisfaction, inadequate education regarding TQM, ineffective organizational culture emerged impediments implementing sector. Causal Loop Diagram (CLD) was developed represent interrelations between shortlisted factors. In addition, system dynamics model (SDM) developed. The simulation results SDM indicated an increase over period under defined system.
